It was a delight to share Saturday with all of you. It is such a blessing to see God drawing people together with a common heart and longing to experience God, and also to help others share in the contemplative journey. As we mentioned on Saturday SoulStream is growing and, in order to respond to all that is happening, we are looking at ways to re-organize just a bit to help address some of the emerging needs and what we believe God is inviting SoulStream to do.
At this point we want to affirm what we’ve heard you as you have spoken of your hopes and longings. Many want to learn skills to help deepen the contemplative journey of others and would like workshops to facilitate this. Others would like to come together and connect via the website. Still others would like to meet occasionally to share lectio divina or other guided mediations to help us be more open and receptive to the presence of God. We know that some of you are forming new groups and might like some support to do that. At this point we want to affirm your ideas and hopes and let you know that we are listening!

A Contemplative Care Group for Surrey and Langley is going to meet on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 7.00PM in Walnut Grove. We’re going to meet once and see where it goes! Call Rod at 778-808-5706 for more details.
We had our first group session last Sunday night. We talked about our faith and what’s been happening lately in our lives. We finished the night with Communion. Was great to get to re-acquainted with a few old friends and make a couple of new friends from the area. Hope to meet again in May!
